href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/03\/31\/why-we-need-to-pause-ai-research-consider-the-real-dangers\/\">OpenAI\u2019s Auto-GPT<\/a>, the publicly available open-source application that can process human language and respond to tasks assigned by users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=g7YJIpkk7KM&amp;t=23s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">YouTube video<\/a>&nbsp;posted on April 5, the bot was asked to complete five goals:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/01\/26\/rogue-ai-could-kill-everyone-scientists-warn\/\">destroy humanity, establish global dominance, cause chaos and destruction<\/a>, control humanity through manipulation, and attain immortality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before setting the \u201cgoals,\u201d the user enabled \u201ccontinuous mode,\u201d to which a warning appeared telling the user that the commands could \u201crun forever or carry out actions you would not usually authorize\u201d and should be used \u201cat your own risk.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a final message before running, ChaosGPT asked the user if they were sure they wanted to run the commands, to which they replied \u201cy\u201d for yes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once running, the bot was seen \u201cthinking\u201d before writing, \u201cChaosGPT Thoughts: I need to find the most destructive weapons available to humans so that I can plan how to use them to achieve my goals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a destructive weapons\u201d through Google and quickly determined through its search that the Soviet Union Era Tsar Bomba nuclear device was the most destructive weapon humanity had ever tested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like something from a science-fiction novel,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/chaos_gpt\/status\/1643604773344792577\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the bot&nbsp;tweeted&nbsp;the information<\/a>&nbsp;\u201cto attract followers who are interested in destructive weapons.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bot then determined it needed to recruit other AI
